Creating a Character:
Essential properties i.e. age weight and name
“I’m 166cm tall, how cool is that?”Uzumaki Naruto
While playing Naruto the Role Playing Adventure you will need to make sure that both the gamemaster and the other players have an accurate idea of just how old, tall, heavy etc your character is. This not only improves the role-playing aspect but can affect your character within the rules.
Try and remember that Naruto the Role Playing Adventure is set in an oriental world and that as such characters are likely to be slightly smaller than many Western players are used to. As such we have included a height and weight table in case you just can’t decide.

Naming your character is naturally very important. It is also a lot trickier in Naruto the Role Playing Adventure than it is in most RPG’s since you’ll want to find a snazzy authentic Japanese sounding name. Below is a Table listing all of the Syllables in the Japanese language and the general rule for creating a nice easy, cool Japanese name is to simply string three of the syllables together. For example: Sakura, Naruto, Sasuke, Kakashi, Tsunade, Sarutobi, Temari. All of these names were used during the Naruto series and all consist of three easy Japanese syllables.
Villages:
In Naruto the Role Playing Adventure it is written with the assumption that you will choose to adventure out from the Hidden Village of Leaf. However, the world of Naruto is a vast and vibrant one and you need not feel restricted to one village, you can even create your own village but that of course must be negotiated with your Gamemaster and involves a lot of hard work.
Clans:
Within Konoha (Leaf village) there are several prominent clans. Some of which will endow your character with access to special abilities, some even with bloodline limits. Below is a list of Konoha Clans.
Attributes
There are four attributes each with their own good and bad points. The four attributes are Strength, Accuracy, Speed, and Intelligence.
Strength: Will increase the damage you do with Taijutsu and also help you take less damage. Your strength multiplied by 10 is your Stamina or Sta Chakra, which is a big part of both Ninjutsu and Taijutsu.
Accuracy: Helps you to hit targets from range. In other words if you were to hurl a kunai or a fireball accuracy would help ensure you hit your target.
Speed: Is how fast you can both act and react. It is both about dodging the opponent’s attacks and speedily executing your own. It is also a big requirement for Taijutsu and in particular Jyuken.
Intelligence: Incorporates both intellectual and perceptive abilities. It helps to both hit a target (whether from range or close combat) and to notice when and how an opponent is going to hit you. Your Intelligence multiplied by 10 is your Spiritual or Spi Chakra, which is a big part of both Ninjutsu and Genjutsu.
Points
When you first create your character you start off with 500 points to allocate as you wish as well as 20 points in each of the General Progress Tree skills. These 500 points can be spent to either increase your pure attributes or to increase your skill in various skills. Other than that your GM will inform you whenever he/she believes you have qualified for Points, you will also get them at the end of every mission, every fight and also during the breaks between missions. Other than that have fun!
